FAQ Alignment

Machine Support provides alignment and mounting services for Cutting Machine 1 at Paper Projects B.V.

Paper Projects B.V. is the supplier and converter of masking paper, wrapping papers and complementary grades for wholesalers and large users. Paper Projects is a part of and a strategic extension of Papierfabriek Doetinchem. Vital to the success of Paper Products is the operations of the many rollers, cutters and drives within the factory. A key element to successful operations is the alignment of the rollers and cutters, these components must be accurately positioned and adequately supported to permit manufacture of the quality products offered by Paper Projects.

In January 2002 Machine Support was selected to align and mount Cutting Machine 1 at Paper Projects B.V. in Doetinchem (NL) The project included measuring and correcting the parallel positions and level of several units such as the unroll installation area, the cut section and the stacker. After alignment, the machine's different units were chocked with Suppox4®, a two part epoxy. The total job took four and a half day and was completed with a total satisfaction of the customer.

Paper Projects B.V., Manager, Mr. Bijlsma, tells:
"... I know Machine Support from the time I was working for Papierfabriek Doetinchem. They did the alignments in that time. I have asked Machine Support if they were able to place the cutting-machine in the right position, do the alignment and to provide the mounting service."
This project is an important requirement for the pulp and paper industry and is a standard job for Machine Support. Again Mr. Bijlsma, "The cutting-machine has been aligned using laser alignment equipment and since the machine has been used again it produces perfectly cut products which are being piled completely straight."
