Vibracon® SM Low Profile
Products
|
|
Vibracon® SM Elements provide an ideal foundation for machinery allowing for the quickest, easiest and most accurate fixed machinery installation possible.
Use of Vibracon® SM Elements avoids machining of foundations
in many cases. The spherical top accommodates deviations in mounting
surfaces. This, combined with height adjustment capability, eliminates
the possibility of a soft foot problem.
The installation of Vibracon® SM Elements is recommended for all
machinery where alignment is critical. The elements have been
installed in rugged marine propulsion environments all the way through
to industrial and packaged unit applications.
Whether in combination with fabricated foundations or sole plates on
concrete, the installation of Vibracon® SM Elements represents
economic savings from the start by the elimination of the mounting
cost variable in life-cycle expenses. The Vibracon® SM Elements
have received approval from: classification societies, equipment
manufactures and the US Navy.
Engineering support for specific needs, non-standard applications or
installation training are available.

Recommended minimum clamping length (B) for all types of machinery is 150 mm.
This in combination with the bolt torque from the table below, results in a bolt stretch of 0.2 mm.
Vibracon SM elements are produced of Fe 52.3 or, if required, stainless steel AISI 316L (1.4404). |
